Picture
Davide Baldan

I am a behavioral ecologist and evolutionary biologist interested in the evolution of sexual conflict and parental cooperation.

My research focuses on a variety of bird species that exhibit different parental strategies, including biparental care, sex-biased care, and uniparental care with mate desertion.

I use these systems to uncover the behavioral mechanisms underlying cooperative care and to understand the fitness consequences of its variation.

DiDi is a Master’s student in the EECB program. She’s interested in how species respond and adapt to anthropogenic pressures. For her thesis, she is studying how rock sparrows adjust their breeding strategies in response to climate warming.

Arianna is a PhD student in the EECB program. She’s a behavioral ecologist interested in sexual selection, especially the evolution of mating and parental care strategies
